Daddy Mory
Daddy Mory, born Mory Samaké in Paris on October 24, 1973, is a French dancehall reggae singer. Between 1995 and 1998, he formed the group Raggasonic with his mate Big Red. The duo scored a number of popular hits, including "J'entends parler", "Bleu blanc rouge"," Faut pas me prendre pour un âne" and "Laisse le peuple s'exprimer", which remain emblematic of the French reggae and rap scene of the 1990s. In 1998, Daddy Mory launched a solo career, releasing the studio albums Kisdés 2 (2002), Ma Voix Résonne (2003) and Reality (2007), featuring compositions strongly influenced by Jamaican dancehall. In 2015, he released the album Travail d'Artiste, featuring Birch, Frenchie and Steven "DJ Genius" McGregor.
