Lena Willikens

Cologne, Germany-based DJ and radio broadcaster Lena Willikens spins an eclectic array of abstract techno, ghostly industrial/EBM, no wave, and tribal beats, in addition to producing music of a similar nature. Active as a club DJ since the late 2000s, she's a longtime resident of Düsseldorf's Salon des Amateurs, and has spun at numerous clubs and festivals throughout Europe and North America. A crucial member of Matias Aguayo's Cómeme family, she hosts the acclaimed monthly radio show Sentimental Flashback for Radio Cómeme, and the label released her debut EP, Phantom Delia, in 2015. During the same year, she performed at the LiveSoundtrack Festival in Barcelona, scoring the film Japanese Girls from the Harbour using a theremin, loop pedal, and turntables. Since then, she has remixed tracks by rRoxymore, Véronique Vincent & Aksak Maboul, Simian Mobile Disco, S U R V I V E, and others. In 2018, Dekmantel released Willikens' unmixed compilation Selectors 005, which contained a dozen obscure industrial, acid, and tribal techno tracks.
