Antoine Wielemans

Antoine Wielemens was born in Braine L'Alleud, Wallonia, on March 21, 1979. It was in 200, at a university concert, that the artist launched his career with a group of friends and his brother on drums. This was the beginning of the rise of the indie-rock band Girls In Hawaï, in which he sang and played guitar. Their first album was released in 2003, signed to Naïve in France, and took them to numerous festivals in Europe. Girls In Hawaï will be very active until 2017, after 5 albums released. The band then returns to the stage more sporadically, and celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2023 with a super European tour. In the meantime, Antoine Wielemans went solo, mainly because he wanted to try his hand at singing in French. And so, after a few weeks of isolation, Vattetot was released, an intimate album driven by the artist's melancholy piano. The album enjoyed a strong press and radio response, thanks to the singles "Sel" and "De l'Or".
