From February through June 2020, Massachusetts metalcore act the Acacia Strain issued a run of five 7" singles, with single-letter titles: D, E, C, A & Y. The release of Slow Decay brings together all ten tracks from those records, and adds an additional two pieces, "Crippling Poison" and "Birds of Paradise, Birds of Prey." It closely follows the Vincent Bennett-fronted outfit's previous full-length release, December 2019's It Comes in Waves.
