Kittie's Safe contains the title track in two forms, half a dozen live cuts from one concert, and an enhanced video of another three songs from a different show. The lead version of "Safe" is a remix that was done by KMFDM's Sascha, and the added electronica shows that the path between Black Sabbath and Joy Division is a lot straighter than some might surmise, yet it doesn't detract from the melancholic malaise of the Oracle original; in fact, it enhances it. Sad to say, that's the high point of the EP; the concert recording seems barely above bootleg quality and live material rarely supersedes studio recordings of the same song, and it doesn't here, making the record a mixed bag.
