No one can accuse Lady Gaga of not giving the people what they want. “Just Dance,” the artist’s first single, is an urgent dancefloor filler that draws on Madonna, glam, ‘80s electro-pop, and deep house, trendy elements that not only push ubiquitous pleasure buttons but carry all the right cultural cachet in the late 2000s.
