The full-length debut from robotic rockers Ink sounds as if it was recorded to the beat of a slow, quiet assembly line. Each track contains a haunting, restrained tone of droning indie and mumbling vocals. But without any signs of energy or enthusiasm, it also sounds almost as if the members of Ink didn't want to be in the studio. The results are lifeless; this trio strikes a monotonous resemblance to Fugazi or Drive Like Jehu with the volume turned all the way down. The occasionally added saxophone leads also bring out the Morphine in Ink, but that doesn't save this record from its all around flat sound.
