Organist Barbara Dennerlein's second Enja CD matches her distinctive organ and synthesizers with guitarist Mitch Watkins, drummer Mark Mondesir and (on five of the nine numbers) tenor saxophonist Andy Sheppard. Dennerlein contributed seven of the nine selections (the others are "Killer Joe" and "Seven Steps to Heaven") and her music ranges from blues to advanced hard bop, offering organ fans an alternative to the Jimmy Smith/Joey DeFrancesco style.
