U.K.-based Carl Cox is one of the world's most-respected DJs and a successful recording artist whose music embraces a tough, soulful groove that spans several decades and styles, from disco and hip-hop to the latest in club grooves. In the summer of 2009, Cox spun a two-hour set at The Opulent Temple, a dance event staged as part of the Burning Man festival in Nevada's Black Rock Desert, and this two-CD set from Global Underground replicates Cox's special mix from that evening. Black Rock Desert includes the selections "Space Bass," "Maktub," "Rebirth of the Saga," "Space Cow," "What Kind of World Do You Want," and 27 others.
