Though the album suffers from the occasional awkward song and a bit too much polish, Evergreen nevertheless is an impressive debut, showing Jeff Copley's ability for fusing traditional Appalachian music with contemporary country instincts. Copley may not always hit the mark, but his finest moments showcase a vocalist with a unique talent.
