A subscriber and reader has asked us the following question:

Hello,

I have subscribed to Qobuz Sublime+ and I wish to benefit from this quality via my Oppo 205 player, which is connected via xor to a Krell Vanguard.

How should I proceed to access Qobuz from the Oppo?

Thanks.

Our answer

Hello and thank you for your email.

Your Oppo UDP-205 is compatible with DLNA, so if you possess an Android smartphone or tablet, you can use the BubbleUPnP third-party application, which will allow you to Stream Qobuz to your player.

I am in possession of an Oppo BDP-103 player, so here is a small tutorial to help you.

- Once on the BubbleUPnP homepage, choose your Oppo in Local renderer.

- Then go to Cloud and choose Qobuz.

- If you are already connected via the Qobuz application, BubbleUPnP will directly give you access to the Qobuz homepage.

If you have an Apple smartphone or tablet, you can use the mconnect Player HD application (see this article The mconnect control HD application with Qobuz in Hi-Res ), a version of which is also available for Android.

It is also possible for you to try to use the UPnP/DLNA functionality of Qobuz for Mac/PC, but it still being in beta version, the result isn’t guaranteed (it doesn’t work with the BDP-103, even if it is on the list of the application’s supported devices).

Best regards.
