The Modfather releases his 12th studio album, 'Saturns Patterns'

Paul Weller may still be known as The Modfather, but his forty-year career has seen him undergo constant stylistic evolution. From the mod-rock of The Jam to the more soulful bent of The Style Council, Weller has marked himself as a key figure in British music history.

Saturns Patterns, out now, is Weller's 12th solo album. With Stooges-style trad-rock, blues and pscyh-tinged pop, his latest album shows that Weller remains as eclectic as ever, refusing to repeat himself whilst retaining his own distinct voice as a musician. Whilst it would be easy for Weller to keep churning out the music that made him so successful at the start of career, in recent years especially he has been constantly adding new sounds to his palette. Saturns Patterns proves that Weller is still full of ideas - and will be for some time yet.
