The fourth album from the mad hatters of jazz ...

A fourth album, called IV, clearly isn't the time to pump the brakes for BadBadNotGood (BBNG for short). Their eclectic fire still rages as hard as ever in this new arrival, which throws caution to the wind. Since their last album, the trio has become a fourtet, after the temporary arrival of Leland Whitty became permanent. As ever with BBNG, if their musical DNA is undoubtedly jazz-based, it's actually a passion for rap that unites the members of this band. With its jazz improvisation, anti-gravity funk and soul, and throbbing instrumentals, IV is a new kind of trip, and it's totally unique. A sort of musical labyrinth it's good to get lost in. A maze in which you stumble across a motley mix of characters: the rapper Mick Jenkins, saxophonist Colin Stetson, producer Kaytranada, Sam Herring from Future Islands, and singer Charlotte Day Wilson!
