V3
Comprising three sisters, Atlanta, Georgia-based contemporary gospel group V3 released their first album in 2006. LaToya, Sacha, and Shelley Vinson are the daughters of Thomas and Carolyn Vinson, pastors at the High Point Christian Tabernacle church in Smyrna, Georgia. All three sisters started singing as children, going professional when they were young adults. Initially, they sang as background singers, and one of these gigs -- supporting Damita (Haddon) Chandler -- earned them the attention of EMI Gospel. The label released the group's eponymous album in 2006. Following its release, V3 took an indefinite hiatus so they could focus on family and other projects. V3 returned in 2016 with the independent album Alive.
