Swift Guad
The son of a Sicilian father and a Yugoslav mother, Swift Guad was born on November 16, 1981, and grew up in the Croix de Chavaux district of Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis). From an early age, he was passionate about hip-hop, and was even voted best rapper in Seine-Saint-Denis in a radio contest. In 2000, he set up his own label, Horizone, and produced several mixtapes. In 2004, he worked with Paco, composing most of his album À Base de Vers Durs. His first solo mixtape came in 2007, under the name La Mixtape Avant l'Hécatombe, which heralded the album L'Hécatombe the following year, on which a number of artists joined him, including Seth Gueko, Ol Kainry, Zoxea, Aketo and Al K-Pote. That same year, he opened for NTM at Bercy, and was praised by Kool Shen. He also works with children as an animator, a profession he has never abandoned, and confides that he sometimes feels "more useful in his job than in his rap". This hasn't stopped him from pursuing his musical ideals, with a series of mixtapes culminating in La Chute des Corps, followed by Vice and Vertu 2, in 2015, and above all Masterpiece in 2016.
