New Poppys

A choir of children aged eight to fifteen, the New Poppys take up the torch from the Poppys, the former Petits Chanteurs d'Asnières who became stars in the early 1970s thanks to the protest hit "Non, non rien n'a changé", which the new generation covered as their first single. The group of thirteen singers from the same institution recorded an album of twelve covers, Chanter Pour Rêver, featuring duets with Anaïs Delva ("Écris l'histoire" by Grégory Lemarchal) and Natasha St-Pier ("S'il suffisait d'aimer"). The latter, which also features the English-language song "Somewhere Only We Know" amid tracks by Jean-Jacques Goldman, Teri Moïse, Téléphone, Alain Chamfort and "Laisse entrer le soleil" from the musical Hair, was released in November 2016 and heralded a French tour. The charitable troupe supports the Les Petits Princes association, which helps sick children.
