Mother Feather
A stylish, hard-hitting American rock band based out of New York City, Mother Feather's fiery blend of sharp '90s alt rock, glam punk, and vintage rock & roll invokes names like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, T. Rex, and PJ Harvey. Founded in 2009 by powerhouse vocalist Ann Courtney, who took their name from a botched expletive, Mother Feather quickly established themselves as a formidable live act with a deep affection and connection to their fan base. A pair of EPs, 2011's Mother Feather and 2013's Living Breathing, caught the attention of Metal Blade, which enthusiastically added the group to its roster. Their gritty and bombastic eponymous full-length debut was released the following year, with the equally potent Constellation Baby appearing in 2018. Mother Feather continued to refine their brash, N.Y.C. rock & roll sound on their independently issued third long-player, KICK3R, which appeared in 2024.
