DOYOUNG

K-pop singer and television personality Doyoung was born Kim Dong-young in Guri, South Korea on February 1, 1996. While a teenager he began working with SM Entertainment's Casting System and in 2016 that organization teamed him with other young singers in the boy band NCT. The group became successful, spawning a run of number 1 albums and Eps. Doyoung juggled responsibilities within that outfit alongside television gigs such as hosting Lipstick Prince and issuing the occasional single recorded with various members of NCT. He wrote a handful of successful songs for various Korean TV shows and launched his first official solo career with 2017’s “Star Blossom,” a duet with Sejeong. A 2019 collaboration with the pop duo Rocoberry, “Don’t Say Goodbye,” became a number 30 hit. His 2021 single “Night Air”, which appeared on the soundtrack to the program Café Midnight, brought him to the Top 30 in the Philippines. This success was followed by other soundtrack tie-ins such as "Like a Star" (2021) from Yumi's Cells OST Part 4, "To You Who Can't Love" (2022) from Dear X Who Doesn't Love Me OST Part 3, and "Here with Me" (2023) from See You in My 19th Life OST Part 6. In 2024, Doyoung dropped his highly anticipated studio debut Youth, which peaked at number 47 on the Line Music Top 100 in Japan and number 3 on South Korea's Circle Albums Chart.
