Bisa Kdei
Bisa Kdei is the stage name of Ronald Kwaku Dei Appiah (March 19, 1986), an award-winning Ghanaian contemporary highlife singer and producer. His extensive resumé includes collaborations with top-tier African musicians as well as a long list of production credits for some of the most prominent Ghanaian artists. Kdei made his official debut in 2013 with Thanksgiving, a 16-track album that topped the charts in Ghana aided by the hit single “Odo Carpenter.” Sophomore effort Breakthrough arrived in 2015 spawned the single “Mansa,” which became a massive hit in his home country as its accompanying video overpassed the 1 million views on his streaming channel in just 3 months. The album also earned Kdei an award for Best Songwriter of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards. Preceded by the singles “Life,” “Apae,” and “Feeling,” a third full-length entitled Highlife Konnect dropped in 2018 and featured guest spots by Patoranking, Reekado Banks, and Sarkodie. Two years later, he made the news once again as a remix of his song “Asew” was included on the soundtrack for the Christmas movie Jingle Jangle.
