Sulphur Aeon
Sulphur Aeon is a death metal band from Germany that was founded in 2010. The head of the band is Torsten Horstmann. He mainly plays guitar and bass. The first demo recording, Sulphur Psalms, was released in 2010. The EP Deep Deep Down They Sleep followed two years later. Swallowed by the Ocean's Tide, Sulphur Aeon's debut album, was then released in 2013. The band's songs are all about the Cthulhu Mythos. Founded by the American writer H. P. Lovecraft, among others, it is all about fictional horror characters. The longplayer The Scythe of cosmic Chao received the "Album of the Month" award from the music magazine Metal Hammer in 2018. In 2023, Sulphur Aeon release Seven Crowns and Seven Seals. The album makes it into the German charts for the first time at number 80.
