Strawberry Guy
Strawberry Guy is the recording alias of Welsh D.I.Y. pop musician Alex Stephens, who crafts bucolic, lo-fi psych-pop rooted in Romantic-period classical music and art. Stephens moved to Liverpool to attend the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and later became the keyboard player for West Yorkshire indie rockers the Orielles. He began operating under the Strawberry Guy moniker in 2018 and earned accolades the following year with the release of the viral hit "Mrs Magic," which appeared on his debut EP, Taking My Time to Be. Two years later, he issued his first full-length effort, Sun Outside My Window, followed by the EP F Song and Mrs Magic (Strings Versions) in 2023.
