Quiero Club
Quiero Club are a Latin alternative band from Monterrey, Mexico, whose style incorporates aspects of indie dance as well as indie rock. Comprised of Gustavo Mauricio (vocals, guitar), Pris Gonzalez (vocals, guitar, keyboard), Rodrigo Martinez (drums, bass guitar), Marcela Viejo (vocals, keyboard), and Luis "Fara" Dominguez (bass guitar, guitar, keyboard, backing vocals), the band is associated with the Monterrey-based Happy-Fi Records collective. After scoring an underground hit with the single "No Coke" in 2005, Quiero Club made their full-length album debut in 2006 with WOF, which was released independently on Happy-Fi Records. A couple years later, after some high-profile rock festival performances, the follow-up album Nueva América (2008) was likewise released by Happy-Fi Records.
