Niels Geusebroek

Born on 4 September 1979 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Dutch singer and songwriter Niels Geusebroek cut his teeth as the vocalist of Dutch pop outfit Silkstone, creating the group with guitar player Frans van Essen in 1996 and releasing two albums: What's the Reason in 2003 and Here in Your World in 2008. Following the band's breakup in 2009, he focused on nurturing his solo career and entered The Voice of Holland as a contestant in 2011, winding up in the Dutch charts with moderate hits such as "Save the World," "Old and Wise" (an Alan Parsons Project cover) and David Guetta's "Titanium." He made it into semi-finals and used his success as a springboard for his debut solo album Lines, which was released in 2013 and yielded chart-toppers in "Take Your Time Girl" and "Year of Summer," cementing his position as one of the Netherlands' most treasured new pop artists. His second album Wildfire arrived in 2016 and soared all the way to the top of the Dutch album chart, with a string of singles and EPs following in its wake, including 2020's "Young At Heart," 2022's "Dreamer" and 2023's Heart and Soul EP. 2024 saw the release of new single "Say Goodbye."
