Nominated for Top Newcomer Reggae Artist at the 2004 Canadian Reggae Music Awards, MC Casper has since been one of the most popular figures representing Canadian dancehall to the world. Released in 2004, his debut effort When U Whine It won the Toronto International Reggae Music Award for Best Dancehall Album in 2005, then in 2006 he released Flex Flex, a 2008 Canadian Reggae Music Awards nominee for best album. He received an appreciation award from the Canadian Human Rights Committee in 2011, then in 2013 he released the So Hot album, which was distributed by Universal.
