Lune
Lune is the stage name of Mailan Ghafouri, a German singer, rapper, and social media personality of Iraqi and Kurdish descent known for her R&B-tinged style of hip-hop. Raised in the southwestern town of Sinsheim, Ghafouri developed a strong online presence after being featured on the Instagram video series Keller sucht den Superstar, hosted by rapper Mois, where she showcased her versatility by performing in both German and French. This led to a collaboration with fellow MC Samra on his single “Cr1minel,” whose accompanying video accumulated over 4 million views on the rapper’s channel. Shortly after, Ghafouri released her debut single, “Gebe auf” in 2020, a trap-pop mélange that peaked at Number 20 on the German charts and helped the singer to enlarge her ever-growing online fanbase.
