Jess Moskaluke
Canadian country artist Jess Moskaluke was born in Langenburg, Saskatchewan, on June 4, 1990. She rose to prominence in 2011 after winning the New Artist Showcase Award at the Canadian Country Music Awards, earning the chance to represent Canada at the 2012 CMA Music Festival. In June 2012, Jess Moskaluke made her official debut with the single "Catch Me If You Can," included in an EP of the same name released in September of that year. Preceded by the platinum-selling single "Cheap Wine and Cigarettes," her studio debut Light Up the Night saw the light in 2014 via MDM Recordings, followed by the EPs Kiss Me Quiet (2015) and Past the Past (2017), which reached Number 87 on the local charts. Released as the first single from her sophomore effort The Demos, the 2019 track "Country Girls" became her first Number 1 single on the Canadian country charts and was certified gold shortly after. The Demos finally hit retail in 2021 and produced other charting singles such as "Halfway Home," "Mapdot," and "Leave Each Other Alone." In 2022, her standalone single "Knock Off" debuted at Number 41 in Canada and entered the Australian country charts at Number 35.
