His Electro Blue Voice
Hailing from the Northern Italian town of Como, the hard-hitting yet mercurial trio His Electro Blue Voice features vocalist/guitarist Francesco Mariani, bassist Claudia Manili, and drummer Andrea Napoli. Calling to mind bands as varied as Killing Joke, the Melvins, and Xmal Deutschland, the group's first release, a split single with Nuit Noire, arrived in 2007. Singles for labels including S-S Records, Sacred Bones, and Holidays Records preceded the release of HEBV's first EP, 2011's Dead Sons on Brave Mysteries. In 2013, His Electro Blue Voice contributed the track "Kidult" to the Sub Pop 1000 compilation a few months before the label released the group's debut album, Ruthless Sperm.
