Command Sisters

Comprised of siblings Charlotte and Sarah Command, the Command Sisters employ an amalgam of bracing dance-pop, sharply drawn alternative rock, and bold fashion that echoes the progressive pop artistry of artists like Sia and St. Vincent. The duo released their first single, "I Can Do What I Want To," in 2020, with "Rain on My Parade" and "Chameleon" arriving the following year. Born and raised in a small town in Alberta, Charlotte and Sarah began singing and playing together in their early teens. Bestowed with the instinctive harmonizing innate to siblings, the duo were initially a country-folk act. After honing their skills locally, they took to the states, playing high-profile gigs in Nashville, touring Asia, and taking home the top prize at the prestigious John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Relocating to Toronto in 2016, they switched gears and adopted a more pop-oriented sound that paired their deft harmonies and instrumental skills with bold production techniques, social media savvy, and a striking new image built around a black, red, and white color scheme that reflected their newfound confidence. Drawing from a wide array of influences like the 1975, Alanis Morissette, Hall and Oates, and the Weeknd, the Command Sisters issued a volley of immaculately crafted singles ("I Can Do What I Want," "I Like It," "Lonely Lullaby," "Feel Good," and "Steal Your Heart") in 2020, and quickly rose to the fore of the Toronto pop scene. Two more tracks, Rain on My Parade" and "Chameleon," appeared in 2021.
