Beat Avenue
The slick sounds, bright melodies, and sharp vocal harmonies of Avenue Beat emphasize the "pop" in country-pop. Released in 2019, the trio's empowering self-titled debut EP included songs like the girl code-endorsing "Be a Bro."
Three friends from Quincy, Illinois, who bonded over their interest in social media, theater, and music, Avenue Beat was started by Sami Bearden, Savana Santos, and Sam Backoff. They moved to Nashville together shortly after graduating from high school. As 21-year-olds, they signed with Big Machine Records imprint Valory Music Co. and released their first single, "Ruin That for Me," alongside their debut EP, Avenue Beat, in mid-2019. The four-song set featured production by Santos, David Garcia (Carrie Underwood, TobyMac), and Ashley Gorley (Trace Adkins). It led to an invitation to join Rascal Flatts' tentatively scheduled farewell tour in 2020. The trio landed a streaming hit later that year with the single "F2020" and Avenue Beat kicked off the following year with another single, "Woman." Both tracks appeared on the group's first full-length effort, 2021's Debut Farewell Album.
