A decade after their last album, the Dewaele brothers are back with a Soulwax album, produced in their new Deewee studio. Following the awesome soundtrack for the film Belgica, a new era is ushering in for the Belgian brothers who, after making the planet dance with their mixes and remixes as 2ManyDJ’s, are once again pushing the boundaries of creativity.

Ten years without releasing an album. Some careers have been buried for much less! But not the Dewaele brothers’, known as Soulwax by fans of (very) progressive rock and as 2ManyDJ’s for those who prefer stifling nightclubs. The latest entry on Discogs’ Soulwax page dates back to 2005, with Nite Versions, a remix album of their “real” last album, Any Minute Now. Since then, apart from their krautrock/space-disco side project Die Verboten in 2015 (the album’s title is 2007), there’s not much to put on the turntable. To get an extra dose of Belgian content, one had to brave the cold and go outside to attend, for instance, their legendary series of Soulwaxmas parties, during which the two DJs exhausted the crowds in European capitals around Christmas time, usually with the likes of Justice, Boys Noize, Erol Alkan and Pedro Winter, as they did between 2009 and 2012 at the Grande halle de la Villette in Paris.
