Al, Corley
Actor made famous by the TV series Dynasty in 1980, American Al Corley tried his hand at songwriting in 1983 with the track "Square Rooms". His gently new wave pop-rock style met with some success in Europe, and particularly in France, where it reached number one in the Top 50 in 1984. The album Square Rooms, released the same year, capitalized on this short-lived success. Subsequent albums, Riot of Colour (1986) and The Big Picture (1988), discouraged him from continuing in this direction, and put an end to his career behind the microphone.
