Princess Erika

Princess Erika is Pierpoljak's female counterpart, in the sense that her reggae is generalist with a touch of variety. She made a name for herself in 1988 with the raggamuffin-tinged "Trop de bla bla" . The 1992 album Princess Erika failed to confirm this breakthrough, and Princess Erika left Universal for Sony. in 1996, "Faut qu'j'travaille " became her biggest hit (No. 15 in the charts), but once again the D'Origine album did not benefit from this hit. She then multiplied her duets and appearances, with Rita Mitsouko, Marc Lavoine and Les Enfoirés. The albums Tant Qu'il y Aura (1999) and A l'Epreuve du Temps (2005) went largely unnoticed, while Princess Erika pursued a parallel career as an actress. Still faithful to reggae sung in French, Princess Erika returns in 2011 with Juste Erika.
