Petite Amie
A Latin dream pop act with an eclectic psychedelic bent, Petite Amie began as the side project of Little Jesus member Carlos Medina. Based in Mexico City, the five-piece released their eponymous debut on Park the Van Records in late 2021.
Guitarist Carlos Medina, a member of the tropical pop act Little Jesus, formed Petite Amie with fellow guitarist Jacobo Velazquez, bassist Santiago Fernández, and singers Aline Terrein and Isabel Dosal. Their mix of vintage and contemporary influences (Pink Floyd, Big Thief, the Beatles, Magic Potion) inspired a sound that fuses bright, artful indie pop with dreamy textures and ambitious psych-driven arrangements. Marked by the winsome harmonies of co-vocalists Terrein and Dosal, Petite Amie issued a succession of singles throughout 2020 in advance of their self-titled debut album, which was released by American indie Park the Van in October 2021.
