With a burst of enthusiasm and sexual bravado, the Vue come crashing through the speakers with an explosive collection of hard knocks and dirty socks. This San Francisco-based garage rock quartet runs rampant over fundamental blues-based chord progressions that owe allegiance to Muddy Waters and were later reborn via the reckless abandon of the Rolling Stones, the Stooges, and Canned Heat. Somewhere along the way, the Vue forgot that the '70s, '80s, and '90s ever existed. Singer Rex John Shelverton has his mojo working overtime, while the white punks on dope guitar attack of Jonah Buffa jostles the rhythm section through raucous arrangements, quick tempo changes, and droning melodies. Every track preaches the gospel of sex, drugs, and rock & roll, but you won't hear a single lyric that would have landed George Carlin in prison back when Richard Nixon was fumbling with his tape recorder. That's the same ethic that made Little Richard andElvis Presley dangerous in the first place. Young, hungry, and out to get their kicks on Route 66, the Vue present a timeless portrait of rock & roll on Find Your Home.
