Parecen eternos, y además sus fans nunca tienen bastante: así que, ¡que continúe la fiesta! Aún quedando mucho por exhumar en los archivos de los Rolling Stones, lo que se publica en otoño de 2018 merece como mínimo una escucha atenta. Grabado en noviembre de 1994 en el Joe Robbie Stadium de Miami, Voodoo Lounge Uncut documenta, como indica su título, la gira que siguió en julio de aquel mismo año al lanzamiento del disco en estudio Voodoo Lounge, un disco ya clásico sin excesivas sorpresas pero de eficacia contrastada, como siempre en el caso del tándem Jagger/Richards. Y estos conciertos, por supuesto, trasmiten la desmesura de un rock’n’roll puro y duro que suena aquí sin florituras ni melindre alguno. Es que incluso en temas tan mega-archi-conocidos como Satisfaction, Sympathy For The Devil, Street Fighting Man, Start Me Up, It's Only Rock 'N' Roll, Brown Sugar, Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Miss You o Honky Tonk Women los Stones ponen toda la carne en el asador. Y, por si fuera poco, en el repertorio se cuelan tres nombres de excepción, Sheryl Crow (Live With Me), Robert Cray (Stop Breakin' Down Blues) y Bo Diddley (Who Do You Love?). Parecen eternos, y además sus fans nunca tienen bastante: así que, ¡que continúe la fiesta! Aún quedando mucho por exhumar en los archivos de los Rolling Stones, lo que se publica en otoño de 2018 merece como mínimo una escucha atenta. Grabado en noviembre de 1994 en el Joe Robbie Stadium de Miami, Voodoo Lounge Uncut documenta, como indica su título, la gira que siguió en julio de aquel mismo año al lanzamiento del disco en estudio Voodoo Lounge, un disco ya clásico sin excesivas sorpresas pero de eficacia contrastada, como siempre en el caso del tándem Jagger/Richards. Y estos conciertos, por supuesto, trasmiten la desmesura de un rock’n’roll puro y duro que suena aquí sin florituras ni melindre alguno. Es que incluso en temas tan mega-archi-conocidos como Satisfaction, Sympathy For The Devil, Street Fighting Man, Start Me Up, It's Only Rock 'N' Roll, Brown Sugar, Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Miss You o Honky Tonk Women los Stones ponen toda la carne en el asador. Y, por si fuera poco, en el repertorio se cuelan tres nombres de excepción, Sheryl Crow (Live With Me), Robert Cray (Stop Breakin' Down Blues) y Bo Diddley (Who Do You Love?).
