Los Angeles indie quintet Babes deliver their debut LP, an untitled set that blends moody melancholia and shimmering pop. A family affair, the band is led by siblings Aaron, Zach, and Sarah Rayne Leigh, who are joined by friends Bryan Harris and Jeffrey Baird. Playing on themes of loneliness and sexuality, Babes' lush sound recalls the dreamy tone of David Lynch soundtracks and the feeling of late-night drives.
