Todo transcurre tan de prisa en la carrera de una estrella del pop que Mika, con apenas cuatro discos, ya es considerado un veterano de la industria. El propio Mika parece que quisiera confirmar su nuevo estatus en No Place in Heaven, un disco en el que se vuelca decididamente al pop de cantautor clásico. Trabajando nuevamente con el productor Gregg Wells, Mika toma como modelo lo mejor del género de los años setenta: Todd Rundgren, Elton John, o Billy Joel – además de Freddy Mercury, claro está. El líder de Queen es la fuente de inspiración del sencillo "Last Party", un ejemplo cabal del estilo más maduro, aunque siempre pegadizo, de este nuevo trabajo de Mika.
