At first listen, With Blood Comes Cleansing sound like a brutal deathcore act, yet despite their foreboding name and the assault of their music, they are devout Christians. That said, it doesn't get more wicked than their new album, HORROR. The audio equivalent of the 10 plagues of Egypt, HORROR places power and velocity above the lord, and songs such as "Blood and Fire" and "Damnation" sound like the most apocalyptic chapters of Revelations. Vocalist Dean Atkinson has an arsenal of fire and brimstone at his command, and the drums race along like a speedbag. If Stryper had been this heavy, no one would have picked on them.
