Country duo Halfway To Hazard rides the Tim McGraw/Brad Paisley side of contemporary country: not quite as rock oriented as the likes of Toby Keith or Big and Rich, but hardly hidebound traditionalists. Marrying electric stomp to a bluegrassy acoustic twang, the charms of the Kentucky-born and Nashville-based duo of singer-guitarists David Tolliver and Chad Warrix are best heard on tunes like the bluesy "Countrified" or the sprightly first single, "Daisy."
