With Floralia, Kyrie Kristmanson delivers a fourth work in homage to Flora, the goddess of flowers and spring. The album, which was conceived during the months of successive lockdowns, is the result of acoustic research that Kristmanson began when she found herself in possession of a new guitar from the Free Church movement. The idea of breaking the frantic pace of life by celebrating renewal and spring made sense at a time when COVID put human activity on hold around the world. Kyrie Kristmanson’s voice always has a bewitching effect. Her tone, as soft and caressing as a feather, accompanied by the hypnotic guitar riffs, emanating from the depths of time, casts an instant spell on us.
