El tan prolífico como ecléctico Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz, incontables colaboraciones) finalmente se decidió a publicar su primer álbum como solista. Everyday Robots es una sobria y melancólica reflexión sobre la modernidad y el pasado, en la que detalles personales conviven junto a un profundo sentido de aislamiento causado por la tecnología contemporánea - irónicamente la misma tecnología que Albarn y Russell emplean para crear las lentas atmósferas y ritmos fracturados del disco.
