Félix Gray

Real name Félix Boutboul, born in Tunis on June 28, 1956, Félix Gray scored a major hit with his duet with Didier Barbelivien. After working in a restaurant and then as a salesman, he launched his singing career and signed with the label of producer Charles Talar, who banked on the songs he brought with him. Arranged by Raymond Donnez, "La Gitane" was an instant hit in 1988, reaching No. 3 in the Top 50, and led to the recording of further singles. In 1990, the duet he formed with Didier Barbelivien gave birth to a number of ballads that proved particularly popular, including "À toutes les filles..." (1990) and "Il faut laisser le temps au temps" (1991) topped the charts, among other two-hander songs on the album Les Amours Cassées (1991), including "E Vado Via" (No. 5) and "Nos amours cassées " (No. 20). Following this success, Félix Gray went on to write for Adeline Blondieau, then David Charvet and Patrick Bruel, for whom he wrote "Au Café des délices" (1999). Meanwhile, the album Face Cachée (1992) was released, followed by Félix Gray in 2001. He then turned his attention to musical comedy with Don Juan, which premiered in Montreal in 2004 and in France in 2005, followed by other productions in 2012, 2013 and 2019. In 2009, he presented Shéhérazade : les Mille et Une Nuits, which arrived in France two years later. After returning to the stage in a personal capacity at the Paris Olympia in 2012, Félix Gray records the album Chanter... (2013) and continues to write for Patrick Bruel.
