Boza
Combining dancehall, reggaeton, and R&B in a vibrant melange Panamanians like to call “canela,” singer-songwriter Boza rose to the top of the Latin charts with his 2020 hit “Hecha Pa’ Mi.” Born Humberto Ceballos Boza (July 25, 1997) in Panama City, he wanted to be a professional footballer before finding his true calling in music. Boza kicked off his music career in 2014 with the single “Canelas” but it wouldn’t be until 2015 that he finally jumped into the spotlight with the track “Bandolera,” a collaboration with singers Yemil and El Tachi. After signing with Panama Music in 2017, Boza achieved international fame through the singles "Ratas y Ratones" (2018), "Lollipop" (2018), and "Me Mató" (2019). Boza became the first Panamanian artist to sign with Sony Music Latin in 2019, after which he dropped his debut EP Sonrisas Tristes in February 2020 and then his studio debut Más Negro Que Rojo in July of that year. The latter included his breakout single “Hecha Pa’ Mi,” which reached Number 36 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart. In 2021, Boza returned with a second album titled Ella, whose title track climbed to Number 73 in Spain.
