El LP debut de Daft Punk es una tormenta de granizo funk house, que da forma a un estilo de música de baile directa, la cual no se intentaba desde los viejos tiempos de fusión de on-the-one funk and dance-party disco. Un bajo espeso y ruidoso, codificadores de voz, pausas y ritmos entrecortados y una cierta ingenuidad descarada impregnan el disco de principio a fin, lo que hace de él un clásico casi seguro. Aunque algunas son algo mediocres, las mejores pistas lo hacen esencial.
