Super Boiro Band
Driven by a powerful horn section, Super Boiro Band was one of Guinea's top bands of the 1960s and '70s. Formed in January 1960 to perform at Xeme and Xleme music festivals, the group continued to inspire dancers until the mid-'70s. In a review of Super Boiro Band's performance of an original tune, "Maliba," on multi-artist albums, Discotheque 74 and Discotheque 75, http:www//nowtoronto.com wrote that the "blistering three-minute stomper hits like a triple-time Fela jam."
