Cher
Née Cherilyn Sarkisian en Californie en 1946, Cher s'impose dans un premier temps comme la moitié la plus photogénique du duo Sonny & Cher, responsable du classique "I Got You Babe" (1965) et d'une demi douzaine d'albums jusqu'à 1974. Dès les départs du duo, Cher entame une carrière solo avec l'album All I Really Want to Do (1965), initiant une série de parutions et de singles dont "Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves" ou "Half Breed", voyant la chanteuse
