Vandallus
A Cleveland, Ohio-based hard rock/heavy metal ensemble, Vandallus emerged in 2015 with a sound that combined groove-laden, old-school '70s heavy rock with melody-forward, '80s-inspired commercial metal. Led by guitarist and vocalist Jason Vanek, the band features a seasoned crew of players with ties to the Midwest scene -- guitarist/vocalist Shaun Vanek and drummer Steve Dukuslow are connected to area thrashers Midnight, guitarist Tyler Harvey has ties with power metallers Deadiron, and bassist Tim Frederick has done time with Wrath, Eternal Legacy, and Destructor. A self-titled EP appeared in 2015, with the band's first full-length effort, On the High Side, arriving the following year via High Roller Records. The group moved to Pure Steel for their sophomore long-player, 2018's hard-hitting Bad Disease.
