Stage Lacroix

Born in Cowansville (Canada), Stage Lacroix, whose real name is Stéphane Lacroix, is a Quebec folk and humor singer. He began his career as a publicity producer at a Quebec City radio station in 1987, following an internship during which he was given the nickname that became his artist name. In 1993, he took part in the national auditions for the Juste Pour Rire comedy festival, winning first prize while continuing to work in radio. In 2003, he left the communications field to record his eponymous debut album, released on July 10, 2007. The first single, " Té lette ", was a hit on Quebec radio stations. Two other songs from the album hit the Quebec charts: " Chick au pet shop " and " Comment faire une chanson ". In December 2007, just before the holiday season, he released the single " 1-2-3-4-5 bières ". In the summer of 2009, Stage Lacroix scored another hit with his song " Problème de blonde ". He releases a full holiday album in November 2011. He presents his third opus on November 29, 2021, entitled Icitte . On the same day, he releases a new holiday single called L'Orchestre Lacroix , in which he pays tribute to his father and his uncles and their band from the 1960s and 1970s.
