Ryu Sujeong
Ryu Su-jeong (born on November 19, 1997) is a South Korean singer, mostly known for being one of the lead vocalists of K-pop sensation Lovelyz. Originally from Daejeon, Ryu graduated from the Seoul School of Performing Arts before joining Woollim Entertainment as a secret trainee for the Lovelyz project. The group debuted in 2014 with Girls’ Invasion (2014), whose smashing success propelled her to stardom in her native South Korea. In the following years, Ryu became a highly sought-after talent, collaborating with labelmates Infinite H on “Bump” (2016) and singing on Youngjun’s “Start of Summer” (2017). She also made her debut as a lyricist on the track “Hide and Seek,” featured on R U Ready? (2017), Lovelyz’s second full-length release. After a string of highly successful EPs with the group, Ryu decided to embark on a solo career, which started with Tiger Eyes (2020). Preceding the release of the album, the title track was released as a single, reaching Number 9 on the Gaon Album Chart.
