Rowan Drake

Rowan Drake is a singer, songwriter, and producer whose brooding alt-pop sound features melancholic guitar, ambient electronic textures, and deeply felt, confessional lyrics. He found fame through social media in 2020 and inked a deal with Atlantic two years later. Drake released his debut EP, Dear Ella, in 2023. Raised in Ithaca, New York, in a musical household, Drake started writing songs after a devastating injury ended his competitive snowboarding career. Citing influences like Elton John, Ed Sheeran, Van Morrison, and Justin Bieber, he issued his debut single, "Closure," independently in 2020. After graduating from high school, he moved to Los Angeles and began focusing on music in earnest, releasing a pair of singles ("2 People" and "Abandonment Issues") that parsed the isolation and heartbreak of big-city life. The songs caught the attention of Kara DioGuardi's Arthouse Music Publishing, leading to Drake's signing to Atlantic Records in 2022. Featuring the streaming hits "Elephant in the Room" and "Would You Do It Again?," his debut EP, Dear Ella, appeared the following year.
